Budding eco-buffs marched into the yard and offered Mother Nature a tall salute during Earth Day festivities at Public School 58.
The sun-kissed day offered inspiration to the bright-eyed bunch, whose teachers engaged them with a variety of activities in the schoolyard, 330 Smith Street, designed to promote an appreciation of the planet.
Youngsters made compost using newspapers, arts and crafts from recyclable materials and took a word journey by reading books and poems about going green for a friendlier environment.
