It’s only my opinion

Just in case you haven’t noticed, let me remind you to look at tomorrow’s date. Yup. Eight years have gone by and many of usdon’t remember how this country united as Americans. OK, gang. Take out the flag that’s hiding in your closet. For at least one day, and perhaps a few more, display Old Glory from your window, balcony, car, and anywhere else you see fit. In spite of our troubles, this is still one great country. God Bless America.

And now %u2013- more of America by the numbers:

Three months ago Senator Arlen Specter, of Pennsylvania was up in the polls by almost 15%. His aids admitted that he would be much higher but when he switched parties he lost a piece of his Republican base. As for the Democrats in the Keystone State, people in politics know that when any elected official switches parties he loses from both sides. While they welcome his switch, there are those in his new party who feel that cannot be trusted.

Three months ago his lead dwindled down to 11%. On July 22nd, a Quinnipiac poll informed the world that his lead over Republican challenger, Pat Toomey, shrunk to a tie. This was just before the great big controversial Obama healthcare issue hit the headlines. Seniors from Pennsylvania shouted %u2013 “You vote for that crappy bill and we will not vote for you!”

They meant what they said and now Senator Specter is trailing by 12%.

Go gray power!!!

44% of Arkansas holds a negative opinion of Rush Limbaugh compared to 35% positive. Yet, according to a Public Opinion Poll, 55% of voters in The Natural State say that they prefer Rush’s vision of the United States over President Obama’s. I thought it would be a lot higher than that.

Time Magazine asked, “Now that Walter Cronkite has passed on, who is America’s most trusted newscaster?”
