Park perp
Some jerk swiped a handbag from a baby carriage in McKinley Park on June 12.
The victim told cops that she was playing with her child in the park, which is between Bay Ridge Parkway and 73rd Street, at around 9 am. She took her eyes off the empty carriage for about five minutes, which gave the perp just enough time to swipe her bag that contained cash and cards.
By city law, no one is allowed inside a playground unless he is accompanying a child. As such, the criminal is facing additional charges.
Toyota troubles
Someone swiped cash, tools and gadgets from a new Toyota Sienna on Parrot Place between June 4 and 6.
The victim told cops that he left his car between Seventh Avenue and 86th Street at 1 pm and returned two days later to find his stuff missing. The thief made off with $200, a navigation system, an E-ZPass, five power tools, an mp3 player and a phone charger.
Shore steal
Someone sneaked into a Shore Road apartment between June 3 and June 8 to steal $3,000.
The victim told cops that she was gone from her home, which is between 99th Street and Third Avenue, for five days and that her money was missing when she returned.
Inside job
Someone swiped a wallet from an employee at a 13th Avenue bank on June 1.
The victim told cops that she left her wallet at her desk in HSBC, which is between Bay Ridge Parkway and 74th Street, at around 9:30 am. She returned a half hour later to find her wallet, which contained cash and cards, gone.
Grab bag
Someone snatched a bag from a Fort Hamilton athletic field bench on June 12.
The victim told cops that he was at the park near 84th Street and Colonial Road at around 4:30 pm. He left his bag, which contained cash and cards, on the bench for a half hour. His stuff was gone when he returned.
