A thief stole thousands of dollars worth of bling from a house on E. First Street sometime overnight on April 13.

Cops say the victim left the home near Avenue S at 4:30 pm, and returned at 11:30 am the next day to find someone had broken in through the bedroom window.

The thief took a platinum and diamond engagement ring, a diamond necklace, diamond earrings, a diamond watch, and cash, police reported.

Identity thief

A good-for-nothing stole passports, birth certificates, and more from an apartment on Ocean Avenue on April 13.

The victim left the home near Avenue S at 6 am, and returned at 5:15 pm to find someone had broken in. The thief stole cash, social security cards, and a safe box, in addition to the passports and birth certificates, according to authorities.

Coin crooks

Louts stole cash out of a game machine in an Avenue U store on April 10.

The victim said that someone broke into the store near Stuart Street between 2:10 am and 2:18 am and broke into a coin-operated game machine, stealing $40 from it.

Police said there is a camera at the location, that caught the thieves wearing masks and gloves.

Missing meter

Someone stole a water meter from a house on E. 12th Street sometime between April 11 and 12.

The victim left the home near Avenue U at 3 pm, and returned at 11 am the next day to find noticed the water meter from the basement missing.

Police said there may be footage of the incident.
