A thief snatched a teen’s cellphone on Aug. 7 while the victim played the classic Brooklyn street game skelly.
The crook grabbed the navy T-Mobile Sidekick from 15-year-old victim’s back pocket as he bent over to play the long-lost bottle cap game at around 9:15 pm on West Ninth Street between Columbia and Hicks streets.
Burrito bandito
A gun-toting crook mugged a Court Street man inside a Mexican restaurant in a brazen Aug. 2 stick-up.
The mugger — who was sitting on the victim’s stoop before the robbery — confronted the 23-year-old when as he returned home at around 10 pm and demanded cash.
The victim declined, and instead of entering his home, which is between Baltic and Kane streets, he walked to a nearby eatery.
The mugger followed the victim into the restaurant and repeated his demands, this time revealing the handle of a firearm.
The victim withdrew $300 from the restaurant’s ATM and the crook fled.
Swedish meat-hauls
A thief broke into a car in Ikea’s parking and made off with cash and valuables while the victims shopped in the Swedish furniture store on Aug. 4.
The crook shattered a passenger-side window of a car in the Beard Street lot between 6 and 7 pm and grabbed $350 from the glove box, as well as a purse that contained a Canon camera, an iPod, $600, a Louis Vuitton wallet, IDs, keys, glasses, and gift cards.
Dual gunmen
A pair of armed perps stuck up two men at the corner of Sackett and Bond streets on Aug. 11.
The crooks confronted the two men from behind at around 2:40 am, pulled out black handguns and one said, “Don’t move or I will shoot you.”
The mugger removed $110 and a Samsung phone before fleeing with his accomplice in a black car.
Cops are searching for a man nicknamed “M. Skie,” a police source said.
Biker to Rikers
Cops slammed the brakes on a suspect bike thief on Aug. 4.
The crook snatched a cycle from the front of a residence near the corner of Clinton and Kane streets at around 6:30 pm, but police canvassed the neighborhood with the 39-year-old victim and later arrested a 51-year-old suspect.
