Kids take back Polar Street from cars

Mom, dad and the kids bonded with neighbors over simple pleasures as Coney Island sizzled with block party fever.

Residents of Polar Street soaked in equal parts sun and fun at the annual frolic, which featured fun-filled attractions and spectacles for the young and the young-at-heart.

The day of community camaraderie netted new friendships whole cementing old ones over potluck barbecues, sports contests and good ol’ chitchat.
