Kingdom come for animals

Brooklyn’s Micro Museum presents “2008 BIG Ideas with Animals In Your Kingdom,” 12-7 p.m., now to July 19 with an opening party June 7 from 8-11 p.m. with gifts, drinks, snacks and live music at 9 p.m.

Curated by the museum’s founding director Kathleen Laziza, “Animals in Your Kingdom” represents a versatile point of view where animals are fanciful, evocative, threatened, and threatening.

The whimsicalness of the art is diversely expressed in paint, collage, photography, illustration and video.

There is a $10 admission to the party and $2 to the exhibition at all other times.

The museum is at 123 Smith Street between Dean and Pacific streets in downtown Brooklyn; for more, visit www.micromuseum.com or call 718-797-3116.
