Inside job
Three weapon-wielding, ski-mask-donning brutes grabbed a man as he entered his Kingsland Avenue apartment on Dec. 18, then took him up to his room and stole everything on him.
The 63-year-old tenant had just opened the door to the residence, which is between Lombardy and Beadel streets, when one of the filchers held a knife to his neck, and the other said, “Don’t make a sound, let’s go to your apartment.”
Once inside, the three took his cellphone, car keys and money, then fled from the 6:50 pm assault.
Craptops
At least four laptops were stolen from houses when the owners weren’t home last week. Here are the sad details:
• A swindler slipped through a window of an apartment on Diamond Street between Norman and Nassau avenues at about 8 pm on Dec. 15 and stole the victim’s laptop.
• Some jerks broke through the front door of an apartment on Norman Avenue between Newel Street and McGuinness Boulevard and stole two laptops between 9 am and 10:45 pm on Dec. 15.
• A couple of scoundrels came through the fire escape window of a unit on S. Eighth Street between Havemeyer Street and Union Avenue while the victim was away between 9 am and 2 pm on Dec. 18, taking yet another portable computer.
Park guns
A gunman mugged a man in McCarren Park late on Dec. 15, taking his wallet and cellphone.
The 27-year-old victim said he was near Bedford Avenue when the crook approached and shoved the firearm in his back, demanding cash. When he got the money, he fled before the victim could get a good look.
Party favor
Two jerks assaulted a man and took his wallet while he walked home from a birthday party on Bayard Street early on Dec. 16.
The 24-year-old victim was at Lorimer Street at 2:40 am when the two sneaked up and pushed him to the ground, taking his phone and money. The thugs hopped into a car and fled.
