He did something
A knife-wielding malefactor swiped a guy’s phone on Quentin Road on July 12, police said.
The victim told police he was near E. 17th Street at 3 am when the rapscallion came up to him, grabbed his white iPhone with an OtterBox case from his shirt pocket and said “You not going to do nothing.” The jerk was holding a knife in his left hand, according to authorities.
Late-night robbery
A burglar stole a bunch of cash and credit cards from an Emmons Avenue restaurant on July 23, police said.
The raider walked in through the back door near E. 19th Street at 3:38 am and swiped a safe with $400 in it, a hand truck containing $300, a cash register with $200, 15 credit cards, two check books, and an additional $400 from the manager’s office, according to authorities.
The baddie broke into the office with a screwdriver, officials said.
Sped away
A punk stole a guy’s bicycle from his Haring Street yard on July 22, police said.
The guy told police the malefactor hopped his gate into the backyard near Avenue S at 5 am, broke into the shed, and stole his red Alton Compass bike. The scoundrel rode away on Haring Street, according to authorities.
Stolen bike season
A jerk broke into a guy’s garage on E. 29th Street and stole his bicycle on July 20, police said.
The victim told police he was out walking his dog and when he returned to his home near Avenue X at 7 am, noticed his garage door lock was broken and his two-wheeler was gone.
Big break
Police cuffed a 28-year-old guy who they say broke into a Brigham Street apartment building’s garage on July 18 and swiped $6 from someone’s car.
The suspect broke into the garage near Avenue V and then entered the car through an unlocked door and took the cash, police said.
Jewel thief
An intruder broke into a woman’s home on Shore Parkway on July 19 while she was at work and swiped her jewelry, police said.
The woman told police she left for work at 9 am and returned to her home near Nostrand Avenue at 6:30 pm — when she noticed her closet was open, her jewelry box was out on a chair, and her white gold necklace and gold, diamond necklaces were gone.
The burglar broke in through the woman’s kitchen window in the back of her apartment, according to authorities.
Shutterbug
A looter broke into a woman’s home on Emmons Avenue on July 20 and stole a wad of cash, a camera, and her phone, police said.
The bandit broke the lock of the woman’s front door near E. 16th Street sometime between 8 am and 8:30 pm and swiped $1,500 and her Samsung NX20 camera and a Lenovo 5830 phone, according to authorities.
Two against one
A despicable duo punched a teen and stole his Apple watch while he was walking home on Avenue V on July 18, police said.
The 13-year-old victim told police he was near Batchelder Street at 8:20 pm when the two men approached and asked if he was wearing an Apple watch, but the teen didn’t answer, and instead walked away.
One of the brutes then grabbed the teen from behind, threw him on the floor, punched him on the right side of his face, and then grabbed the black smartwatch and ran away, according to authorities.
Scared stiff
A nogoodnik threatened a woman and stole her cash on E. Eighth Street on July 22, police said.
The woman told police she was near E. 17th Street at 3:05 pm when the knave came up to her and said, “Give your purse, give your money or I’ll hit you.”
The cad then went into her wallet and took about $150 in cash and then fled on foot, according to authorities.
