Knife work
A knife-wielding thug stole $5,000 from a guy sitting in a van parked at 94th Street on Dec. 14.
The victim told cops that he was inside his ride between Third and Fourth avenues at around 4 pm when a perp approached, opened the door and touched a knife to the victim’s rib cage.
“Where’s the f—ing money?” the thug yelled before searching through the glove compartment and finding what he was looking for.
Under construx
Thieves stole cash, a credit card machine, a TV and DJ equipment from an 87th Street nightclub on Dec. 15.
The owner of Cosmoss, which is between Fourth and Fifth avenues, said he had locked up the club at midnight and returned at 8:45 am the next morning to find his money and expensive tech gear missing. Security cameras show unidentified perps using keys to unlock the building’s front door.
The owner told cops that he suspects that the heist was set up by a construction worker with whom he had a financial dispute.
Off the meter
Someone broke into a Senator Street house on Dec. 15 to jack a water meter from the basement.
Cops say that the potential down-and-out plumber busted through the rear door of the house, which is between Fifth and Sixth avenues, sometime between 10 am and 1 pm to grab the device.
Un-safe
There were at least two other burglaries in the neighborhood last week:
• Someone stole a safe stuffed with $120 from an 86th Street apartment on Dec. 16.
The victim told cops that she left her pad, which is between Third and Fourth avenues, at 8 am. When she returned at 6:20 pm, her door lock was broken and her safe was gone.
• Someone broke into a car parked on Wakeman Place overnight on Dec. 14 to steal a wallet, two phones and a DVD player. The victim told cops that he parked his ride near Ridge Boulevard at 9:30 pm and returned the next morning to find his window broken and his pricey stuff missing.
Radio jack
Someone swiped four smart phones and an iPod touch from the stock room of the Radio Shack on 86th Street on Nov. 23.
There is no video camera in the stock room of the store, which is between Fifth and Gelston avenues, allowing someone who is likely a sticky-fingered employee to swipe Apple products and a Blackberry.
Not so cozy
Some jerk stole two Dell laptops from an 11th Avenue daycare center between Dec. 10 and Dec. 13.
The owner of Cozy Crib Day Care, which is between 68th and 69th streets, told cops that she closed the center at 6 pm and returned three days later to the door locks broken and the laptops gone.
