Dozens of Williamsburg straphangers found themselves stranded at the corner of Metropolitan and Union avenues Sunday as train repairs brought one of the borough’s hippest neighborhoods to a standstill.
Transit officials said that while weekend track repairs were being completed, the Lorimer Street stop was shut down. Commuters needed to rely on a shuttle bus to take them along the L train route so they could reach their destination.
But, as you can see by the amassing crowd, the buses were few and far between.
