Cops cuffed a man who allegedly stole $500 from a church on Congress Street on Aug. 19.

Church staff told police the suspect entered the house of worship’s management office between Court and Clinton streets at about 8:30 a.m., when he snatched $500 from the safe.

Police arrested the alleged bandit three days later, according to police.

Garden plot

A bandit swiped $15 from a florists’ cash register on Court Street on Aug. 15.

An employee told police that she was helping a customer when the thief entered the store between Carroll Street and First Place at around 11:15 a.m., nabbing $15 from the register, and grabbing her her nearby wallet, which was carrying the employee’s credit card and driver’s license.

Shopping spree

A thief stole $490 worth of clothes from a Henry Street retailer on Aug. 15.

Employees told police that the shoplifter nabbed two dresses, two pairs of shorts, and four shirts from the store between Pacific and Atlantic streets at about 7 p.m., before fleeing with the ill-gotten attire.

Shady move

A lout stole a $220 pair of sunglasses from a boutique clothing store on Court Street on Aug. 16.

Police report that the bandit snagged the expensive shades from the store between Baltic and Warren streets at around 3 p.m.

Earbud bandit

Some crook stole a pair of earbuds worth $50 from a Court Street cell shop on Aug. 28.

An employee told police that the thief took the iFrogz-brand earbuds from the shop between Carroll Street and First Place at 5:15 p.m.
