Brute robs man

A lout took cash from a man and hit him in the face on Bedford Avenue on March 17.

The victim told police he was walking home near Avenue Y at 6:10 pm when the man said “yo, come here,” and punched him in the face. He fell and lost consciousness, and when he woke up, realized the thief had taken his cash, driver’s license, and social security card from his pant pocket, cops reported.

Police said there were witnesses, but that they would not provide information on the incident.

Phone robber

A good-for-nothing stole phones from a store on Avenue U on March 18.

The victim said a woman came into the store near E. 27th Street at 12:45 pm, and in just five minutes, ran behind a desk and started taking cellphones. She hit the victim with a phone, and then ran from the scene, according to a police report. The victim chased after the woman, but lost her and called 911, officials stated.
