Lowlife steals lady’s walker Downtown

No respect. None.

A cold–hearted crook took a woman’s walker as she bent down to pick up a dollar bill at the intersection of Smith and Schermerhorn streets on Aug. 17, the authorities said.

The 55-year-old woman told police she was at the intersection at 8:35 pm when she saw a dollar on the ground a few feet away. She left her walker for a moment to get the loose bill, and when she turned back around the device was gone, according to a police report. Adding insult to injury, her wallet was in the walker’s pouch and had a credit card inside, the report says.
