Do a mitzvah!
Armed with good intentions, mom, dad and the kids rose to the call like bees to a honeypot when they participated in a day of sweet, selfless deeds at the Union Temple.
Mitzvah Day had members and visitors jumping at the chance to demonstrate their altruism by rolling up their sleeves and donating blood, arranging a clothes drive for the needy and discovering about the latest advancements in humanitarian aid from from representatives of Darfur Peace & Development during the showcase of community benevolence at the synagogue, 17 Eastern Parkway.
As part of the big−hearted venture, Hebrew school students trekked to the Prospect Park Residence, One Union Street, for a day of intergenerational fun.
