Beaten to death

A brute attacked a 36-year-old on Baltic Street on July 22, leaving his victim with injuries that ultimately led to the man’s death.

Witnesses found the victim lying between Bond and Hoyt streets with a skull fracture at 12:21 am.

The victim was immediately rushed to Bellevue Hospital, where he died of his injuries on July 30.

Pool pincher

A 48-year-old woman has been arrested for looting a car outside the Red Hook pool on July 24.

The car was left near the corner of Clinton and Lorraine streets at 11:40 am. When its owner returned about an hour later, he realized that the side window had been smashed and his navigation device and cellphone were missing.

The thief, however, didn’t have long to enjoy her newfound loot; cops said they nabbed her as she drove away from the scene — in her own car — a short time later.

Gun goon

A thug pulled a pistol on a 26-year-old at the corner of Huntington and Hicks street on July 24 — but his victim turned the tables on the goon when he tried to take the gun out of the thief’s hand.

The victim was nearing the corner at 1:40 pm when the gunman approached.

“Give me your phone and your money,” the thief demanded before cracking the victim over the head with the butt of his weapon, causing a deep cut.

Enraged, the victim tried to grab the gun from the robber, who ran off empty-handed after a brief struggle.

Sneaker swipe

A pistol-packing thief with a taste for pricey sneakers held up a 29-year-old on West Ninth Street on July 29 — taking the man’s $300 kicks.

The thug also took $60 and a mobile phone during the 2:40 am gunpoint robbery near Hicks Street.

Always on duty

Two thieves held up a 31-year-old woman at the corner of Henry Street and Fourth Place on July 27 — only to be chased away by an off-duty cop.

The crooks jumped the woman at 11:40 pm, throwing her to the ground.

When the off-duty cop saw what was going on, he charged the thieves, who ran off empty handed.

Masked mavericks

Two masked men jumped a 22-year-old on Court Street on July 26, but fled before they could take anything.

The victim was between Hamilton Avenue and Bush Street at 12:15 am when the thieves ran up to him and punched him in the face.

Teen arrested

A 13-year-old was arrested after he allegedly tried to swipe $15 from another adolescent on Columbia Street on July 25.

The victim was nearing West Ninth Street at 6:30 pm when the teen punched him in the face and tried to pull the money out of his pocket — to no avail.

Wallet walk

A gun-toting thief mugged a 39-year-old man on Walcott Street on July 29, taking his wallet.

The thug approached his victim between Richards and Dwight streets at 1:10 am, demanding the man’s property.

Blading babes

Two 17-year-old girls were arrested after they robbed a 24-year-old man at the corner of Henry and Huntington streets.

The victim was nearing the corner at 3:30 am when the teenagers flashed their blade and ran off with $80 — only to be apprehended a short time later.
