Man cuffed in alleged tip-jar heist

Bad tipper

Police arrested a man for allegedly stealing money from a tip jar at a MetroTech Center eatery on Sept. 17.

The victim told police that the suspect took $30 from the jar at the restaurant near Myrtle Avenue around 7:30 pm, while yelling “Don’t make me hurt you,” as he grabbed his pocket, insinuating he was armed.

The cops cuffed the man about fifteen minutes later, slapping him with a felony robbery charge.

Begging for trouble

Some scalawag robbed a man on Fourth Street on Sept. 18.

The victim told police the thief approached him near Dean Street at around 3:30 am, asking “can I have some money,” before pulling out a knife, cutting his face, and breaking his nose and left hand, then hightailing it.

Stick it to ‘em

Police cuffed a man for allegedly hitting a guy with a stick on York Street on Sept. 21.

The victim told police that the suspect whacked him in the head near Bridge Street at 7 am.

Police arrested the man that morning, slapping him with a felony assault charge, cops said.

Cat burglar

A burglar looted the register at a Smith Street nightclub on Sept. 20.

The Scoundrel broke into the bar near Wyckoff Street at 6 am, before lugging the cash register into the basement and prying it open to remove the cash.
