Police arrested a 56-year-old who they said attacked a woman on Avenue K on Nov. 26.

The couple was arguing between E. 12th and E. 13th streets at about 12:40 pm when the suspect slapped his victim in the face — leaving her with minor injuries.

Drive-by caning

A 35-year-old man was arrested on Nov. 25 after he struck another man with a cane on E. 17th Street, cops said.

The victim told police that he was sitting in a car — with his window rolled down — at 6 pm when the suspect approached, lunged with his cane, and then ran into a building between Caton and Church avenues.

Cops caught up with the alleged brute a short time later, charging him with assault in the second degree.

iPhone grab

Cops say two teens were arrested on Nov. 23 after they tried to snag an iPhone off of a train commuter while the train was rumbling into the Cortelyou Road station.

The woman said she was on the train as it approached E. 16th Street at 3:17 pm when one of the two teens snatched the Smartphone and exited the train car.

But the woman gave pursuit and called police, who arrested the teens a short time later.

Car break-in bust

Police arrested a 21-year-old who they say was caught looting a 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe on E. 21st Street on Nov. 23.

Witnesses told police that the thief was seen trying several car door handles at 4:47 am before he entered the Tahoe. He was arrested as he tried to flee with an assortment of nursing supplies.

More car blues

Cops grabbed a 25-year-old who they say was found breaking into a car parked behind an E. 26th Street home on Nov. 20.

The suspect was allegedly seen climbing over a fence and trying to jimmy open the car, which was parked near Farragut Road, at about 1:30 am — but was he busted after he was found smashing a car window to a blue Nissan Altima.
