Stabbed to death
A man was stabbed multiple times during a confrontation on Parade Place and Crooke Avenue last week — just paces away from the Prospect Park Parade Ground.
Cops from the 70th Precinct said that they were called to the corner just before 5:30 p.m. on April 2, where they found 18-year-old Rolandalonzo Castro suffering from bruises and stab wounds. It’s believed that he was struck with a baseball bat and stabbed with a machete.
Witnesses said that he was walking with his girlfriend through the Parade Grounds when he was attacked, possibly by other gang members. Castro, who was allegedly a member of the Dominicans Don’t Play gang, was fatally wounded after being chased out of the Parade Ground, possibly by members of a rival gang.

Television advance
A Parkside Avenue man had to “give up” his television when a thug came in looking to collect on some money owed to him.
Officials alleged that the suspect, identified as Launce Cover, barged into the apartment near Rogers Avenue at 9:10 p.m. on March 30, demanding a substantial sum that he said he was owed.
After a bit of haggling, Cover allegedly took the TV as a down payment, despite the protests of the victim’s roommate.
Police said that the victim called police, who took Cover into custody, charging him with robbery and burglary.
Rooftop raiders
Thieves broke through the roof of a Flatbush bodega and ran off with over $70,000 in loot, but at least one of them didn’t get far.
Police said that alleged burglar Anthony Dotson, 41, and several accomplices tunneled their way into the grocery on Glenwood Road.
The thieves struck prepaid phone cards, cigars, cigarettes and MetroCards and ran off, but cops were quickly on Dotson’s tail.
Police said that Dotson was caught on a video camera swiping the material. He was taken into custody on March 30, charged with burglary.
His accomplices were still at large.
Hamburglar alert!
Two gun-toting thieves conducted an early-morning raid at a local McDonalds March 29, taking over $3,000 in receipts.
Police said that the suspects, who are still at large, entered the Utica Avenue eatery between Avenues H and I just before 4:30 a.m. and pistol-whipped a manager before forcing him to open the safe.
Cops were still looking for the thugs as this paper went to press.

Help wipe out graffiti
As the ongoing war against graffiti vandalism continues, cops are now offering a $500 reward to anyone with information that can lead them to graffiti vandals.
The hefty reward is part of the city’s new push to rid New York of graffiti, which is one of the leading quality of life complaints brought to police.
Officials said that cleaning up graffiti is essential to the plan, to show that the community is no longer going to tolerate marred and tagged-up walls and street corners.
According to police, there is a perception that if a community will tolerate graffiti, they will tolerate other criminal activities, such as drug dealing and prostitution.
Anyone with information about graffiti vandalism in their neighborhood is urged to contact either 311 or 911.
