Subway mug

Two men beat and robbed a 33-year-old man as he exited a Fourth Avenue subway station on July 27.

The victim was headed up to the street at the Bay Ridge Avenue station at around 2:50 am when the thugs approached and began kicking and punching him.

The men then grabbed his wallet, ran down the stairs and hopped on the incoming R train, making off with $250.

Fast fraud

A knife-wielding thief robbed a restaurant delivery man in front of an 87th Street home on July 26.

The 29-year-old victim told cops that he had just finished delivering food to the home, between Third and Fourth avenues, at around 7 pm when a man approached him, pointed a knife at his stomach and threatened, “Give me the money.”

The victim did as he was told, handing over more than $200.

Burgs in the hood

At least two neighborhood homes were broken into last week.

In the first incident, someone robbed a 73rd Street house early in the morning on July 18.

The 46-year-old owner of the home, which is between Forth and Fifth avenues, left his residence at around 8 am. When he returned just one hour later, he noticed that someone had removed the screen from an open bedroom window, climbed inside the house and grabbed his $500 laptop.

Then, on July 24th, someone climbed through the fire escape of a Fourth Avenue apartment and made off with $6,000 in laptops and watches.

The 24-year-old victim left his apartment, which is between 79th and 80th streets, at around 8:50 am. When he returned less than an hour later, two computers and three watches were gone from inside.

Car burglary

Someone grabbed a wallet and sunglasses out of an unlocked car parked in a 79th Street driveway on July 26th.

The 19-year-old victim told cops he parked his car in front of his apartment, which is between 10th and 11th avenues, at around 1 am.

When he returned to the vehicle the next night, he noticed his wallet and a $200 pair of sunglasses had been taken from the front seat.

Kanji gate

An angry thief burgled a 73rd Street home of thousands in jewelry on July 26.

The suspect entered the house, which is between Ninth and 10th avenues, through an open bedroom window at about 12:45 am, cops said.

The suspect grabbed more than $8,000 in jewelry, but before he left, covered the walls with threats and curse words in Japanese characters.
