Man slashed on E. 105th Street

Slashed in arm

A 47-year-old slashed another man in the arm on E. 105th Street on Aug. 13.

The suspect was arguing with his victim between Glenwood Road and Flatlands Avenue at 3:55 pm when he lashed out with a knife, catching his opponents arm.

The victim suffered stitches as a result. But the assailant suffered worse: cops charged him with assault in the second degree.

Busted for burglary

A thief crept into a Farragut Road home on Aug. 8, taking a cellphone, a wallet and several credit cards — and the homeowner’s car.

The thief forced his way into the home, located near E. 97th Street, sometime after 6:30 am, taking the keys to the 2002 Toyota Sequoia, along with the other items.

Cops caught up with the thief — in the victim’s car — on Loring Street on Aug. 13, charging him with burglary and criminal possession of stolen property.

Near cell swipe

An 18-year-old tried — but failed — to swipe a cellphone from another teen on Foster Avenue on Aug. 15.

The victim was nearing E. 105th at 3:10 pm when the suspect showed up and tried to grab the cellphone from his hands.

After a few failed tries, the suspect ran off — only to be arrested for attempted robbery a short time later.
