A bandana-wearing thug robbed a Columbia Street deli at gunpoint on May 17.

The 49-year-old victim said that the do-rag–donning thief burst into the Carroll Garden Deli & Grocery, near President Street, at 10 pm, pointing a black pistol and demanding money. The worker handed over $800, and the creep paused, and then asked for Newport menthol cigarettes, making off with five packs (which is almost the same value).

A desperate cinephile burglarized a tractor trailer on Halleck Street on May 15.

The 39-year-old victim told cops he parked near Columbia Street at 9 am, and returned at 6:45 pm to find that the rear window of his 2007 white Volvo rig had been busted, and a $225 global positioning system, $125 DVD player, and 100 DVDs worth $500, had been taken.

Burglar roll

A creep with fingers like sticky rice burglarized a Henry Street sushi joint on May 16.

Cops said the burglar entered Hibino Japanese restaurant, near Pacific Street, at around 4:30 am, snatching a camera, and an envelope containing $130.

Headbanger

A man and woman robbed and beat a man with a brick on Dwight Street on May 20.

The 50-year-old victim was near King Street at 3:30 pm when he was approached by the pernicious pair, which, without warning, hit him over the head with a brick, kicked him as he fell, and snatched his $100 cellphone.

Officer Michael Hewitt arrested the alleged attackers, a 46-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman.

Side-swiped

Someone stole the pricey glass from the driver’s side mirror of a luxury car on First Place on May 16.

The 74-year-old victim said he parked near Smith Street at 7:30 pm, and when he returned at 4:30 am, the $1,200 mirror from his red 2010 Mercedes Benz was gone.
