Halloween mayhem
A group of delinquents used a Taser to rob another teen on Avenue X on Halloween night.
The victim told cops he was minding his own business near E. 18th Street around 6:30 pm when a group of masked marauders came up behind him and fired the barbs in his back. They grabbed his cellphone and ran off, according to a police report.
Assault and bat-ery
Cops cuffed eight teenagers beat and robbed a young girl on Nostrand Avenue on Oct. 31, police said.
The young girl was at the bus stop near Avenue W around 7 pm when a group of seven boys and one girl surrounded her, she told police. One hit her with a metal baseball bat, knocking her to the ground, at which point they stole her purse and cellphone, officials reported. Police later arrested all eight suspects, while the victim was brought to Coney Island Hospital.
Holy moly
Someone broke into a church hall on E. 13th Street sometime between Oct. 24 and 26 and destroyed construction materials, but didn’t steal a thing, according to police.
The sinner broke in through a rear window at the building near Shore Parkway, and destroyed sheet rock on the second floor and more than 150 pieces of aluminium studs used to frame walls on the third floor.
Adding insult to injury
A thieving saboteur stole a guy’s work materials out of the back of his truck on Coyle Street on Oct 30.
The bandit broke the locks on the truck near the corner of Avenue Z in the early morning hours and made off with blankets, dollies, tape and tie-down straps, but he clearly wasn’t satisfied: He poured some unknown liquid into the truck’s gas tank too, police said.
