Two goons in ski masks robbed somebody at gunpoint on Saint Edwards Street on Feb. 1, cops said.
The victim was walking to work near the corner of Willoughby Avenue at 3:40 pm when the mugging went down, police said. The two brutes brandished a handgun and relieved the poor sap of her or his wallet, according to police.
Thief-case
A galoot punched a guy in the face and threatened to shoot him in an effort to steal his stuff on S. Oxford Street on Feb. 29, cops said.
The 27-year-old victim told cops he was near DeKalb Avenue at 9:20 pm when the tough came up from behind and punched him in the face. The attacker tried to grab his briefcase and reached into his pocket looking for a wallet, police said.
When he resisted, the bruiser said, “I’ll shoot you,” and punched him in the face a second time, then took off, according to police.
Beats by — Hey!
A thief robbed a 12-year-old of his phone and headphones on Feb. 29 on Greene Avenue, a police report states.
The kid was near Cumberland Street at noon on his way to school when a jerk approached and threatened to shoot him unless he handed over all of his electronics, cops said. The youngster complied and the crook scrammed, police said.
Quintuple threat
Five men ganged up on a drunk guy on Ashland Place on Feb. 1 — punching and kicking him and taking $30 in cash, cops said.
The 48-year-old victim said the attack occurred at 5:50 pm, but he refused to cooperate when police arrived at the scene, between Myrtle Avenue and Willoughby Street, according to the report.
Wrong avenue
Cops cuffed a 28-year-old man who they say tried to mug a guy on Lafayette Avenue on Feb. 1.
The victim told cops he was walking between Grand and Classon avenues at 9 pm when the meanie approached.
The bully grabbed the man’s arm and said “Give me your money,” police reported.
The victim shook off the would-be mugger and ran for his life before calling 911, cops said.
Mean-mugged
Two goons robbed a guy of two cellphones and some cash on Auburn Place on Feb. 2, police said
The 22-year-old victim was walking near N. Portland Avenue at 1:52 am when the two attackers grabbed him from behind and threatened him with a black handgun, cops said.
The pair went through his pockets, took the loot, an skedaddled, according to a police report.
Going municipal
Cops cuffed a lady who they say attacked a security guard at a city office on Clermont Avenue on Jan. 28.
The 34-year-old woman was arguing with an employee at one of the city agencies housed in a building between Fulton Street and Atlantic Avenue at 10:10 am, when the security guard asked her to leave, according to police. The guard started to escort the woman, she grabbed the guard by her collar, and the two started fighting, cops said.
Police showed up and arrested the gal. The guard suffered scratches and bruises to her neck and back, according to police.
Knifed
A 27-year-old maniac slashed a guy with a knife during a scuffle at a Lafayette Street bar on Feb. 1, cops said.
The two got into it in the watering hole between S. Portland Avenue and S. Elliott Place at 4:02 am and the unhinged lady sliced the victim across the right side of his face, police said.
The slasher tossed the knife under a car outside the bar before police arrived, but it was later recovered, according to police. The 27-year-old victim was taken to Kings County Hospital Center for stitches, cops said.
Safety worst
The owner of a grocery store on Greene Avenue told police someone emptied his safes on Jan. 27 — making off with $1,877.
The burglary happened after 11 pm, while the store between Grand Avenue and Cambridge Place was closed, according to a police report. The owner said five employees had recently been laid off, and that one had failed to return the key to the store.
There was no sign of forced entry and a video shows that the thief wore white gloves, cops said.
Welfare-to-purse
A thief inside the public assistance office on Clermont Avenue nabbed a wallet from the purse of a 29-year-old city employee on Jan. 27, cops said.
The worker left her handbag unattended in the building between Fulton Street and Atlantic Avenue between 2:15 and 3:40 pm, according to police. She told cops she lost cash and her Social Security, debit, and health insurance cards.
Pain and gain
A worker at a Dekalb Avenue hospital had her wallet taken from a counter after she left it briefly unattended on Jan. 23, police said.
A security video from hospital near Ashland Place shows a female patient walk by around 6 pm, take the wallet, and put it in her pocket, cops said. The victim said she lost a bank card, her Social Security card, driver’s license, and hospital identification, according to the police report.
Fashion sneak
An anti-social fashion plate swiped four embroidered dresses from an apartment on Lafayette Avenue on Jan. 22, according to police.
A delivery person left a package containing the garments in front of the abode between Cumberland and S. Oxford streets around 4:30 pm, cops said. The 27-year-old victim arrived home at 8 pm and the package was gone, police reported.
The victim told cops the size-12 garments were worth $1,200.
Heat is on
An opportunist repairing the radiators of an apartment in the Ingersoll housing complex made off with a woman’s wallet on Jan. 27, cops said.
The 48-year-old victim let a repairman in to her home on Navy Walk to fix her faulty radiators, police said. She left her wallet sitting on the sofa and left the room, according to cops.
The worker distracted the victim after she returned and, when he left, the wallet was gone, police said. The billfold contained four debit cards, a Medicaid card, and her identification, cops said.
Tropical giveaway
Some fraudsters duped a Clinton Avenue 81-year-old man into wiring them $6,349.54 on Jan. 31 in a timeshare scam, police said.
The victim was at his pad between DeKalb and Lafayette avenues and got a call from somebody claiming to represent a real estate agency, according to cops.
The clever caller told the victim that his timeshare had been sold and that he needed to wire money to cover “tax escrow and collateral,” cops said. The victim complied, but cops said the agency was a sham.
Man without a van
A 2000 Ford Ecoline E-250 was swiped from Willoughby Avenue on Jan. 30, cops said.
The cargo van’s 32-year-old owner parked it near Waverly Avenue around 10 am and, when he returned to pick it up at 6 pm, the van was gone, police said.
