An auto shop burst into flames on Fourth Avenue on Friday, prompting hundreds of firefighters to rush to the scene.
The five-alarm blaze filled the sky with billowing gray smoke near Degraw Street just after 12:20 pm, drawing 198 firefighters.
It started on the second floor of Danken Auto Parts, though the cause was still under investigation. The flames were quelled by 3:30 pm, and nobody was seriously injured, according to a Fire Department spokesman.
Traffic was tied up along all Park Slope avenues for well into the evening.
