Wallet grab
A thief swiped a wallet from a McDonald’s employee on Jan. 12 during a visit to the Atlantic Avenue eatery.
The victim told police that she had left her purse unattended inside the fast food behemoth at Vanderbilt Avenue at 3 pm. When she returned to it an hour later, her wallet was gone.
Window breaker
A hooligan smashed a St. Johns Place resident’s window during an odd afternoon blowup on Jan. 16.
The 46-year-old tenant told police that he was sleeping inside his apartment between Underhill and Washington avenues at 4:30 pm when the goon — whom he didn’t know — threw an unknown object at his bathroom window, damaging it.
Car crackers
Car looters zeroed in on Prospect Heights last week. Here’s what happened:
• A thief broke into a 1995 Ford Escort on Bergen Street between Sixth and Carlton avenues on Jan. 11. The owner left her vehicle at 2 pm and returned the next morning to find the window smashed and the registration and parking permit gone.
• A car stripper preyed upon a 1999 Ford Explorer parked on Atlantic Avenue on Jan. 10, taking both license plates and the front bumper. The owner told police that he parked his SUV between Vanderbilt and Underhill avenues at 9 am and returned 12 hours later.
