Fugghedabout Bryant Park — Caton Park Nursing Home was the new kid on the style runway when the golden set teamed up for a fashion show to show ’em all how it’s really done!
Clients at the elder facility on Caton Avenue, between Argyle and Rugby roads, strutted their stuff in elegant dresses, and dapper suits and hats, June 24, putting on the glitz and groovin’ to their own beat as Recreation and Physical Therapy staff escorted them down the aisle.
Smokin’ Agatha Rennie courted whistles as she modeled a hot-red outfit, while debonair wheel-chair bound Rolando Guardiola drew admiring glances from the gals as he traveled down the strip in a suit and fedora.
“They looked beautiful, and they felt beautiful,” said Recreation Director Yvonne Coward, whose staff donated the clothes for the day, and enlisted the help of a beautician to primp them gorgeous as a gesture to “pick up their spirits.”
Relatives were stopped in their tracks, remarked the administrator, by the striking sight of their attractive elders: “They were shocked, amazed, astounded and very happy to see their loved ones all dolled up!”
The evening’s crest was the crowning of handsome “King” Leontin Peters and his regal “Queen” Helen Dunn, both of whom received sashes before spending the evening with their friends and family, drinking champagne, enjoying refreshments and even tripping the light fantastic to deejay music.
