Mom busted for abandoning kids on street corner

69th Precinct

Canarsie

Mommy dearest

Police arrested a mother of two on Jan. 30, who they claim abandoned her two young children on a Canarsie street corner — then celebrated the horrific move by putting a bottle of champagne on her Facebook page.

The mom dropped her two children, ages 3 and 2, off at the corner of E. 102nd Street and Shore Parkway at 2:46 pm on Jan. 29 and sped off, say officials.

Surprised observers told cops they asked the two tykes where their mommy was, but all they could say was, “Mommy left us here.”

Cops arrested the mom, who said she never intended to abandon her children. She was charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

Backyard creepers

Cops arrested two men who they say were found scurrying around backyards on Glenwood Road on Jan. 30.

Police say the duo crept into two backyards at around 12:30 pm and entered rear garages.

Police from the 69th Precinct caught up with them as they were removing items from the garages.
