The future of mom-and-pop retailers along the commercial corridor was up for review and planning during a meeting in Brooklyn Heights of the Montague Street Business Improvement District (BID).
Property owners joined local merchants, residents and supporters at Eamonn Doran’s Restaurant, 174 Montague Street, where they evaluated last year’s activities, set forth the coming year’s programs and budgets, and elected a new slate to the board.
Providing the keynote address was Councilmember David Yassky, whose 33rd District oversees parts of downtown Brooklyn, including Brooklyn Heights, Greenpoint, Williamsburgh, DUMBO, Boerum Hill and Park Slope.
