Move over the tassels
Toss those mortar boards up for Princeton-bound Poly Prep senior Jada Baijnath for earning the prestigious Gates Millennium Scholarship, as well as receiving the “Certificate of Accomplishment in Princeton Prize in Race Relations” awards program.
The Gates grant was bestowed on our pal Jada for her “strong leadership, community service, and academic achievement” and as a “Leader for America’s Future,” according to Headmaster David Harman. Jada also has the distinction of being the first Poly student to win this scholarship.
He added, “Jada is a remarkable young woman whose scholarship and leadership have already earned her many accolades. The scholarship recognizes this achievement and will enable her to soar at Princeton and beyond.”
Jada will be studying molecular biology at Princeton in the fall.
Standing O wishes her great success in college and her career.
