Mugged — and shot!

Shot at

A gunman not only mugged a man on Baltic Street on July 29, but also fired a shot in the victim’s direction after he gave chase.

The mugged man told cops that he was talking on a cellphone near Quisenbury Drive at around 5 pm when the gunman approached and said, “Give me your money.”

The thief then pushed the victim up against a fence and stole the phone and a wallet containing $150.

But when the thief fled, the victim followed on Butler Street, where the perp turned and fired the single round, scaring off his pursuer.

Gang banged

A murderous, revenge-seeking mob clubbed a 22-year-old man to death and stabbed another man at around midnight on Aug. 1 on Fifth Avenue.

Witnesses said that the murder victim, Alex Santiago, was near 12th Street when about 20 savages pounced and fatally beat him with crowbars, a tire iron and glass bottles. The other man was stabbed in the melee.

Cops said that the homicidal perps had a vendetta against Santiago and the stabbing victim that stemmed from an earlier dispute, which occurred on Fifth Avenue near 10th Street. No arrests have been made.
Cops said that Santiago has a long list of prior arrests, though it is unclear if he did anything illegal that provoked the current incident. His widow, Stephanie, is due to give birth next month.

Stoop ID

A gunman mugged a woman sitting on her own front stoop on 12th Street on July 29 — but got only $20.

The victim told cops that she was on her steps, between Eighth Avenue and Prospect Park West at around 11:30 pm when the man approached, pulled a black pistol and said, “Give me your things.”

She pulled the Jackson from her pocket and handed it over before the thief fled.

Ten shun

A gang of 10 hoodlums beat up a man on a Manhattan-bound G train on July 28, stealing his iPod, but not getting far before cops lassoed most of the jerks.

The horrifying assault took place underneath the corner of Seventh Avenue and Ninth Street at around 12:45 am when the posse rolled up and one member said, “Give me your iPod.”

When the 18-year-old victim refused, all 10 thugs proceeded to punch and kick him before grabbing the popular music player.

The victim was taken to the hospital, but cops canvassed the area and quickly arrested nine of the thieves — one of whom still had Steve Jobs’s innovation in his back pocket.

The thugs ranged in age from 16 to 18.

Wheel bad

Car thieves and bandits were running wild in the Slope last week, breaking into or stealing nine cars — three in the crime-friendly zone the Prospect Park Zoo. Here are the gory details:

• The first of the zoo-area break ins was on July 28 at 2 pm, when cops saw a man break into a Toyota and steal a navigation system. He was quickly collared, though he resisted arrest, police said, earning extra charges.

• The second zoo-area break in occurred between 3:30 and 7:50 pm when the owner of a Chrysler returned to find that his navigation system, radio and cameras had been taken.

• The final furry crime occurred on July 31 at around 4:30 pm, when a car owner returned to find that someone had taken a phone, a digital music player and two laptops.

• A thief took a nine-year-old Ford from a spot on Sixth Street between Prospect Park West and Eighth Avenue between noon and 4 pm on July 30.

• Someone swiped a Lincoln Towncar from Baltic Street overnight on July 28. The man told cops that he’d parked the 10-year-old limo-style car on the block between Fourth and Fifth avenues at around 11 pm, but it was gone by noon the next day.

• A thief is probably out on the golf course right now after stealing an expensive set of sticks from a car that had been parked on Seventh Street between Fourth and Fifth avenues on July 26. Two days later, the owner discovered that his clubs and other lesser items had been swiped.

• A thief stole a woman’s iPhone out of her car, which had been parked in the Wollman Rink lot in Prospect Park on July 27. The woman told cops that she was away from the car from 7:10 to 9 pm.

• Yet another thief has shown a lust for a 10-year-old Honda Civic, stealing the beloved car from Sixth Avenue. The owner told cops that he parked the car between 12th and 13th streets on July 26 at 11:30 pm, but it was gone by 11 am the next day.

• A thief stole the expensive saddle bags off a 71-year-old’s Harley that had been parked on July 14 on Fifth Avenue near 14th Street. The victim said that the bags were worth $1,300, which suggests that they were really nice bags.

Ungreat

A nightowl thug swiped a woman’s purse when she slipped off to the bathroom at the Great Lakes bar on Fifth Avenue early on July 30.

The victim told cops that she excused herself for only a few minutes at around 3:20 am, but returned to her chair to find her bag — and with it, her phone, cards, passport and iPod — gone from the watering hole, which is at First Street.

No ‘escape’

Thieves used the fire escape to steal thousands in electronics and jewelry from an Eighth Avenue apartment on July 29.

The victim returned to his unit, which is at Third Street, at around 8:30 pm and discovered that a computer and antique baubles had been swiped.

He told cops that he had left for work at 8:20 am.

Quick pick

A pickpocket swiped a woman’s wallet as she partied at a Fifth Avenue bar on July 26.

The woman told cops that she was inside Cypress Avenue Bar at Bergen Street at around 12:10 am when someone put his hand into her purse to get the wallet, which contained $40, cards and one of those mini Flip camcorders so popular with The Brooklyn Paper staff.
