Murder-suicide in Vinegar Hill!

Murder-suicide

Cops found the bodies of a man and a woman who were both killed in an apparent murder-suicide inside a Sands Street apartment on Dec. 31.

Cops responded to reports of gunshots at around 9:30 pm at the apartment, which is between Gold and Jay streets, and entered to find a 41-year-old woman slumped over the bed with the fatal wound. On the floor next to her was the alleged gunman — also dead — with the gun under his body.

Q-lamity

A creep ripped a woman’s diamond necklace — valued at $31,500 — off her neck on the Q train on Jan. 3.

The 49-year-old victim told cops that she was on the Manhattan-bound train at around 11:45 am when she noticed a sketchy character glaring at her. The victim then stood up and pretended to look at the subway map, but the thug approached her from behind, jabbed an object in her side and whispered, “If you don’t want to be hurt, be quiet!”

The perp then ripped the necklace off as the doors opened at the DeKalb Avenue station, apparently without alarming any other straphangers, got off and vanished into the crowd.

Razor sharp

A razor-wielding maniac sliced a man’s hand at the Hoyt-Schermerhorn stop in an attempt to rob him on New Year’s Day, but was quickly busted by the boys in blue.

The 24-year-old victim told cops he was sitting on a bench at around 5:45 pm when the thug approached with a box-cutter and said, “What you got? What do you got?”

The frightened victim pleaded that he didn’t have anything, so the lunatic sliced the man’s hand. The victim then opened his bag and emptied his pockets to prove that he did not have anything to hand over.

Witnesses alerted Sgt. Michael O’Hare at the station and directed him to the 34-year-old brute.

Purse pilfered

A cunning thief swiped a woman’s purse right off her wrist as she shopped at a Fulton Mall store on Dec. 31.

The victim told cops that she was not bumped while checking out sweaters at the clothing store between Gallatin Place and Hoyt Street at around 5 pm.

Oy, Bubbie!

A thief snatched a woman’s purse while she was enjoying a meal at Bubby’s in DUMBO on Jan. 3.

The victim told cops that she was dining in Main Street restaurant at around 5:30 pm when she noticed her purse, which contained $102 and a cellphone, was missing.

B & Es

There were at least two break-ins last week:

• A thief robbed a Bergen Street house, making off with $10,000 and IDs sometime between Dec. 31 and Jan. 3. The victim told cops that houseguests had been in the apartment, which is between Boerum Place and Smith Street, the entire weekend.

• A thief smashed a car window on Bond Street and ganked an assortment of goods from the backseat on Dec. 30. The victim told cops that she had parked the car between State Street and Atlantic Avenue at around 4:45 pm and returned 30 minutes later to find the rear window broken and her Louis Vuitton purse, camera, laptop, and $400 gone.

Smash hit

A brutal brigand clocked a man with a glass bottle on Atlantic Avenue on Jan. 1 and snatched $140 and his watch.

The victim told cops that he was between Nevins Street and Third Avenue at around 6:30 am when an unknown assailant suddenly bashed him in the face with the bottle and took his stuff.

Star-bucks

A thief swiped a customer’s wallet while he bought a coffee at the Court Street Starbucks on Dec. 29.

The victim told cops that he had left his jacket on a chair at the location, which is between Livingston and Joralemon streets, and approached the barista at around 3 pm. When he returned to his table, his wallet and digital camera had been swiped.

iGrab

A thief swiped a woman’s iPhone as she walked on Joralemon Street on Dec. 28.

The victim told cops that she was between Garden Place and Henry Street at around 3:45 when a man sneaked up from behind and demanded the popular “app phone.”

She handed it over and the thief fled.
