Neighbors in community care – Cobble Hill Health Ctr., LICH celebrate

Cobble Hill Health Center hosted a reception for its neighbor in care, Long Island College Hospital, which is celebrating its sesquicentennial anniversary — 150 years of service to Brooklyn.

For more than 30 years, Cobble Hill Health Center, at 380 Henry Street, has been serving the Brooklyn community as an innovator in caring for the elderly and disabled. It is at the forefront of Alzheimer’s care. “Our programs enhance our residents’ quality of life and promote their ability to live within the community,” says Olga Lipschitz, CEO. “But when they need hospitalization, we turn to LICH, knowing the care they receive will always be of the highest quality.”

“Hospitals do not stand alone,” said John Byrne, COO. “We rely on our community partners to complete the continuum of care, adhering to the same high standards we expect from ourselves. The exemplary care delivered to long-term care residents at Cobble Hill is well known throughout Brooklyn.”

The president of the Greater New York Hospital Association (GNYHA), Kenneth Raske, joined Cobble Hill Health Center in presenting Long Island College Hospital with a plaque commemorating its 150th milestone. GNYHA represents more than 300 hospitals and continuing care facilities.

“Strengthening relationships, which promote high quality care in the community, is a promise we make and keep to our patients and residents,” concluded Lipschitz.

LICH is located at 339 Hicks Street.
