Workers installed LED signboards at Bergen Street, but 2-train ridÂers shouldn’t expect flashy L-train treatment soon.
Just as on the L-line, the dark digital signs will someday broadcast estimated arrival times of 2 and 3 trains — but NYC Transit told The Brooklyn PaÂper “there’s no timetable for them to be activatÂed.”
Agency spokesÂman Charles Seaton said the $160- million proÂgram, which includes about 150 stations, will be rolled out slowly. He confirmed that the delays are partly due to faulty German-made software. The L-train sysÂtem uses a different technology.
