The Cyclones dominated the pride of State College, Penn. with a win that 13-hit barrage that also featured outstanding starting pitching from still-undefeated Mitchell Houck.
Houck stuck out eight Spikes in his 6-2/3 innings, giving up his lone earned run after tiring in the seventh. The win gave him three on the season and kept his ERA under 1.00.
The Cyclones got on the board first on a two-run dinger by Juan Centeno in the second. In the bottom of the third, hot hitter Darrell Ceciliani singled, then stole second and scored on a single by equally hot Jeff Flagg.
In all, Ceciliani stole three bases on the night — and his final one in the fifth allowed him to score on Joe Bonfe’s two-out single.
Ceciliani was 3-for-4 on the night, raising his batting average to .392.
Centeno added the sixth run on a single in the sixth after a leadoff triple by J.B. Brown.
