Road rage
A 25-year-old damaged and backed into a man’s car in a lot in McGuire Fields on July 8, according to police.
The victim told police that he was in the lot near Shore Parkway at 12:30 pm when the man slashed the front of the victim’s car. He hopped in his own vehicle, and used it to back into the victim’s 2004 Toyota 4Runner, police said.
He then got out and punched the side-view mirror and windows on the victim’s car, according to a spokesman for Brooklyn District Attorney Charles Hynes.
Running with scissors
Police arrested a 38-year-old man who they say threatened to kill a woman and her child — with a pair of scissors — on E. 45th Street on July 7.
The victim told police that she was between Avenues H and I at 10:52 am when the suspect approached, scissors in hand.
“I’m going to kill you and your baby,” he allegedly barked.
Male pattern balding
An 18-year-old man and 16-year-old boy were arrested for shoplifting hair-growth drugs and other items from a Nostrand Avenue Rite Aid on July 3.
An employee told police that he was inside the drug store between Avenues L and M at 1:39 pm when he noticed the suspects and two accomplices begin to grab items — including Rogaine for Men — off the shelves. When they attempted to leave — without paying — a security guard stopped them at the door and a scuffle ensued, in which the guard was shoved and the store manager was punched in the face, according to a spokesman for Brooklyn District Attorney Charles Hynes.
Sneakers and cash
Police a 17-year-old boy for beating up a man on Avenue T on June 29 — and stealing his backpack containing sneakers and cash.
The victim told police that he was near E. 55th Street at 4:40 pm when the suspect and two cohorts attacked him, punching him in the face and taking his bag.
