Knife attack

A man stabbed another man in the back after exchanging words at an Avenue N bus stop on May 17.

The victim told police he, a friend, and the friend’s girlfriend were waiting at the stop between 92nd and 94th streets at 10:41 pm when the suspect made gestures toward the woman. The victim and his friend responded, after which the suspect left, muttering he’d “be right back.”

When the suspect returned, he brandished a knife, causing the victim to fall back on the ground, cops said. The suspect then stabbed him on the back, resulting in the injuries that required two staples and 15 stitches, reports stated.

Stick up

A man was arrested for robbing another man of his wallet, camera, and cash by gunpoint on Farragut Road on June 29, said police.

The victim said he was near E. 99th Street at 2:20 am when the suspect and another unidentified man who has not been taken into custody approached him with a gun and demanded several items, threatening to shoot him if he did not comply.

The alleged suspects left with the victim’s wallet, camera, a dispatch radio, and approximately $280 in cash.

Drinking problem

Police have arrested a man who they say hit another man with a glass beer bottle on Glenwood Road on June 19.

The victim told police he was between 55th and 56th streets at 9:45 pm when the suspect smashed the bottle on the victim’s head, cutting him.
