One person was injured over the weekend in a harrowing Brighton Beach fire.
The blaze broke out in the basement and spread to the first floor of 126 Neptune Ave. Sunday morning, according to fire officials.
Responding units encountered heavy fire and smoke as 56 firefighters used three different hose lines to douse the inferno, which started shortly after 6 am, according to the Fire Department.
The fire was deemed under control at around 7:15 am.
