Punching rubber

A brute punched and tried to rob a man at Prospect Street on June 1.

The bruiser punched the man in the head with a closed fist causing pain and demanded money from him at Jay Street at 4:20 p.m., according to police.

Phone snatch

Police arrested a man they suspect of violently robbing a man’s phone on the train at Schermerhorn Street on June 1.

The victim told cops he was taking the Queens-bound A-train from Jay Street-MetroTech and when the train stopped at the Hoyt-Schermerhorhn Streets station the suspect grabbed his phone and dashed onto the platform at 12:35 p.m.

He then ran after the guy yelling at him to give back the phone before the suspect grabbed him by the throat for two seconds before releasing him, causing minor redness to his neck, according to cops.

He threw the phone to the ground and the victim took it back, but transit police cuffed the suspect at the station.

Phone snatch II

Cops cuffed a man for allegedly stealing a woman’s phone on a train near Atlantic Avenue on June 1.

The woman was riding on a Coney Island-bound D-train and playing a game on her phone when the suspect grabbed it from her hand near Fourth Avenue at 12:45 a.m., according to cops.

The two struggled and the victim suffered a small scratch on her knuckle, before the suspect got a hold of the phone and fled the train with the woman in pursuit shouting, “He stole my phone,” which caught the attention of transit police, who chased after the suspect and caught up with him and placed him under arrest, according to cops.

Descending into violence

Police arrested a woman for getting into a fight with a woman inside a Willoughby Street elevator, which left the victim with lacerations across her face on May 30.

The victim told cops she got into a fight with the suspect while getting into the elevator near Jay Street when she became more irate and aggressive, causing the cuts to her face at 3 p.m.

Stick it to him

Police arrested a man they suspect of hitting a guy with a branch on Bergen Street on May 31.

The victim told police that he was having a conversation with his family when the suspect approached him screaming profanities between Bond and Hoyt streets at 6:50 p.m.

The victim told the man to calm down but instead he picked up a large tree branch and hit him in the back of the head, causing a laceration, according to the authorities.
