Prospect Park proudly went to the dogs when the Mayor’s Alliance for NYC’s Animals held its inaugural pet adoption festival at the emerald empire.
Man’s best friend and other two- and four-legged critters shared the spotlight near Bartel Pritchard Circle –Prospect Park West and 15th Street – as they lathered on the charm and strutted their stuff for pet-loving boroughites, hoping to get a foothold into a loving home.
The animals, including purebred and mixed breeds, hailed from the Alliance’s participating shelters and rescue groups.
Low-cost microchipping was also available for both newly-adopted animals and cats and dogs who already have a home.
A trainer, groomer and veterinarian were on hand to advice and answer questions about pet health.
