Pinocchio marionettes

The Puppetworks will present Carlo Collodi’s 1882 adventures of a wooden marionette, “Pinocchio,” in its Brooklyn Theatre, 338 Sixth Avenue, on Saturdays and Sundays from May 3 to August 17 at 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.

Adapted by Nicolas Coppola, Puppetworks’ artistic director, “Pinocchio” features traditional, hand-carved wooden marionettes, an original song score, and a “live” actor as Stromboli the puppet master, in six colorful scenes ranging from the excitement of Boobyland and its Donkey Machine, to the eerie glow of Undersea, where a whale lives.

The event is recommended for ages three and up. Admission for children is $7; for adults is $8; for groups of 20 or more is $5 each.
