Playboy playmates make boardwalk even hotter

They’re always playful and oftentimes amusing – so Coney Island was a no-brainer for them.

And that’s a good thing, since they’re not known for handling complex trigonometry equations.

You had to be a blind man not to see the Playboy Bunnies who make up “The Girls Next Door” strutting their stuff along the Coney Island Boardwalk last week, filming an episode for the next season of their racy reality TV series.

Blonde bombshells Holly Madison, Kendra Wilkinson and Bridget Marquardt traded the manicured lawns of the Playboy Mansion for the gritty sands of Coney Island, as well as a few lessons in Carney knowledge, during their visit to Brooklyn’s historic playland.

The visit was part of a whirlwind trip through the big city, which is evident by all of the tourist trappings Wilksonson was found wearing.

The trio, who were joined by an unnamed, but equally sassy, friend were found checking out the sand and surf, Deno’s Wonder Wheel and a few games by West 12th Street and the Boardwalk, onlookers said.

They were even given an official Brooklyn greeting by Borough President Marty Markowitz, who is always on hand to welcome a celebrity to the borough, whether they had a staple in their navel at one time or not.

“As borough president, Marty is often faced with difficult challenges and makes great sacrifices on behalf of his constituents and this was one of them—welcoming the Girls Next Door as they enjoyed the boardwalk and took in the sights (as he did!) at our beloved Coney Island,” explained Beep spokesman Mark Zustovich.

“The Girls Next Door” chronicles the trials and tribulations of the three former Playboy pin up girls as they flop around in the house that Hef (Hugh Hefner, for those of you not in the loop) built.

Oh, yeah, the three also happen to be dating the 82-year-old Playboy founder, according to the show's producers.

Hefner was nowhere to be found during the Coney Island shoot; probably taking a much needed nap.

In their fifth season, due to premiere in October, the girls go to New York, celebrate Mardi Gras in New Orleans and go snowboarding with Barbi Benton.

In between all of their jet-setting around the country, the trio will also be joining Hefner in his search for Playboy’s 55th Playmate of the Year.

Will she be a Brooklyn girl?

Only time will tell.
