Pulled from the surf
An identified man was pulled from the waters off the Riegelmann Boardwalk Saturday, officials said this week.
As this paper went to press, cops from the 60th Precinct hadn’t identified the victim, who was found floating near Coney Island Avenue just after 1 p.m. on June 28.
Lifeguards pulled the unconscious male from the water and brought him to an awaiting ambulance.
Police said that the victim was taken to Coney Island Hospital with a smattering of injuries, although none of them appeared to be life-threatening.
Drugged and raped
A 50-year-old Sheepshead Bay man was arrested on rape charges last week after he drugged and sexually abused a 17-year-old girl visiting his home.
The victim, a resident of Coney Island, told police that she was at the suspect’s apartment on East 23rd Street near Avenue Y when he began plying her with booze and Xanex.
The attack took place as the teen fell asleep in the suspect’s bed, officials said. Rape charges were filed the next day.
The name of the alleged rapist is not being released because his relationship to the victim was not entirely clear. Cops identified the 50-year-old as an “acquaintance” of the victim.
Gunpoint heist
A 43-year-old woman was robbed of her purse at gunpoint as she walked through Sheepshead Bay last week, authorities said.
The victim told cops from the 61st Precinct that she was walking past the corner of Avenue V and Brown Street at 9:30 a.m. on June 26 when an unidentified male pulled a gun on her and demanded that she hand over her property.
The thug pulled the bag off her shoulder, struck her in the head and then high-tailed it to the Sheepshead/Nostrand Houses, officials said.
The woman’s wallet, about $100 in cash and her checkbook were in the bag when it was taken.
No serious injuries were reported.
Backpack blues
Cops are looking for a thief who robbed a 19-year-old of a notebook computer that he toted around Sheepshead Bay in a backpack last week.
The victim, a resident of Ocean Parkway, told police that he was passing the corner of East 14th Street and Shore Parkway at 1:35 a.m. on June 25 when a white male in a dark hoodie crept up behind him and jammed a hard object – possibly a gun – into his back.
The thief then knocked the victim to the ground and ran off with the backpack, which contained the computer, as well as the victim’s wallet and $50 in cash, police said.

Area cops are pulling out all the stops in their quest to ensure that this Fourth of July is the quietest, and the safest, on record.
For weeks, area precincts have been spreading the word about their hunt for illegal fireworks and the people who sell them.
“Rest assured that those who use or distribute these dangerous items will be arrested,” explained Chief Joseph Fox, the commanding officer of Patrol Borough Brooklyn South, adding that a $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a “fireworks violator.”
Penalties for those caught with illegal fireworks range from a $750 fine to the repossession of the resident’s car if the fireworks were found in the vehicle.
Cops are asking anyone with information regarding illegal fireworks in their area to come forward.

Shellbank bruiser
A 16-year-old girl with a possible connection to the Bloods street gang was arrested for allegedly beating up and robbing another teen outside Shell Bank Junior High School.
Officials said that Emily Davila, a resident of Red Hook, and two others allegedly attacked their victim as she tried to give them $200 for a ring of Davila’s that she lost.
The victim said that she was called to the schoolyard outside Shell Bank, located at 2424 Batchelder Street, at 11:30 a.m. on June 23 to return the money.
She gladly paid the money for losing the ring, but Davila and her cronies wanted more, officials alleged.
The three women, who were all sporting red bandannas and beads on their wrists, allegedly beat their 17-year-old victim and robbed her of both a Sidekick cell phone and iPhone before running off.
Davila, whose alleged street name is “Casper,” was caught a short time later, charged with robbery and assault, officials said.
A 29-year-old motorcyclist was left clinging to life Tuesday after a devastating vehicular accident in Gerritsen Beach.
Police said that the victim, identified by witnesses as a neighborhood electrician, was passing the corner of Whitney and Gerritsen avenues just after 1 p.m. on July 1 when he smashed into the front a 2007 Jeep.
Investigators said that the motorcyclist was traveling northbound on Gerritsen Avenue when it hit the Jeep as it made a left turn from Gerritsen Avenue onto Whitney Avenue.
Witnesses told police that speed may have been a factor in an accident.
The cyclist was reportedly thrown 100 feet from his mangled motorcycle into a nearby tree. The force of the impact was so severe that his sneakers flew off his feet, officials said.
FDNY officials said that paramedics rushed the victim to Kings County Hospital in grave condition with massive head injuries.
The driver of the Jeep suffered only minor injuries.
By late Tuesday, the circumstances behind the accident were still under investigation.
The driver of the Jeep was given a summons for failing to yield to another motorist, police said.
