Anti-Asian arrest
A 52-year-old Bensonhurst man was arrested last week for allegedly committing a bias crime against his Chinese neighbors, prosecutors said.
Police said that Giacomo Silecchia was charged with assault as a hate crime on October 6 in connection with the August 30 attack.
His victims alleged that they were on the corner of 18th Avenue and 70th Street that afternoon when they became embroiled in an argument with Silecchia.
Silecchia allegedly shoved the oldest victim, 54, stating that they all should “Go back to China.”
The Bensonhurst resident was also charged with beating up the other two victims, leaving them with a smattering of bruises.
Stabbed in Bensonhurst
A confrontation on 21st Avenue near 85th Street ended with a man getting stabbed in the head, officials said.
Police said that suspect Manuel Tzip, 21, was fighting with an acquaintance of his at 3:15 p.m. on October 5 when he allegedly struck him right above the eye, knocking him to the ground.
Tzip then allegedly punched and kicked his victim and then stabbed him the head with an unidentified object, leaving him with a superficial wound.
Police said that Tzip escaped, but was apprehended on October 7, charged with assault.
Three on one
A 23-year-old man was held up at gunpoint on Gravesend Neck Road near Avenue V Sunday morning, cops in Sheepshead Bay said this week.
The victim said that he was standing in front of an address on Gravesend Neck Road at 3:30 a.m. on October 12 when the three unidentified white males approached and pulled a gun on him.
“Give us everything you got,” the thieves said as they robbed him of his cash, credit cards and iPod.
Police were told that the thieves quickly forced the victim to his knees and told the face the wall so he couldn’t get a good look at him.
No injuries were reported.
Cops are asking anyone with information regarding this incident to come forward.

Cash and carry off
Cops are looking for two thieves who robbed a 30-year-old man of $250 in cash as he got out of a livery cab on East 17th Street in Sheepshead Bay early Saturday morning.
Police were told that the victim was getting dropped off at 1 a.m. on October 11 when the two thugs ran up to him.
One of the men punched him in the head and went through his pockets while the second man held him by his shirt, cops were told.
The victim said that he suffered some pain from the punch, but was otherwise uninjured.
Getting soaked
An 81-year-old man had $100 removed from his home when two thieves pretending to be Water Department inspectors paid him a visit.
The senior told police that the thieves, described only as white males, knocked on his door just before 11 p.m. on October 8, claiming that they had to check his home for “green water.”
When the victim let them in, one of the suspects distracted him while the other went to the senior’s bedroom, where the $100 was found.

Side window shenanigans
Three thousands dollars in cash was removed from a home on Avenue Z in Sheepshead Bay last week, officials said.
The 24-year-old resident said that someone entered his home, located near East 21st Street, by pushing in the air conditioner sticking out of the side window.
The thief reportedly swiped the cash and fled the home through the same window.
Cops were still looking for the thief as this paper went to press.
Bank bozos
Cops are looking for the thieves who thought they could circumvent a bank alarm by dropping into a vault like Tom Cruise did in “Mission Impossible,” but managed to set the sirens off anyway.
Police said that the alarms to the Citibank, 1528 Sheepshead Bay Road, went off just before 11:30 p.m. on October 2.
When they arrived at the scene, they learned that a crew of thieves crept through a second-floor window into a business above the Citibank, and then tried to break the floor right above the vault.
What they didn’t realize that all of the hammering through the floor would ultimately set off the vault’s motion detectors, which triggered the alarm.
Police said that the thieves, who were still at large, never got inside the vault.
Purse grab
A 35-year-old woman had her purse ripped off her shoulder as she walked past the corner of Bay Parkway and 81st Street last week.
Cops were told that the woman was nearing the corner at 2:20 p.m. on October 3 when an unidentified male on a bike sped past her.
The thief reached out, snagged the purse and pulled it off her shoulder before the woman knew what was happening, police said.
No injuries were reported.
