Gunning for bank dough
Two brazen gunmen are being sought for holding up a Chase Bank on Bay Parkway near 86th Street Monday afternoon.
As this paper went to press, officials said that the suspects entered the bank, pulled weapons, and ordered everyone to the floor. One of the men fired at least two shots into the ceiling when the 15 people inside didn’t move fast enough.
Officials said that the thieves managed to get into the bank’s vault, but it was unclear just how much was taken as this paper went to press.
Despite the gunfire, no injuries were reported.

Shot on Surf
A young man was rushed to the hospital after he was shot in the head inside a Coney Island building early Sunday morning.
Cops from the 60th Precinct said that they were called to a building on Surf Avenue near West 12th Street just after 3 a.m. on November 23. The victim was found inside, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.
The victim was rushed to Lutheran Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition after treatment.
Investigators did not disclose what led to the shooting.

Poor escape route
A 52-year-old man was arrested last week after he allegedly snatched a wad of money from a pedestrian on Knapp Street and then tried to escape the area by car-jacking a 72-year-old motorist.
Police said that things did not go well for suspect Danny Mancher, who was ultimately arrested after the 2 p.m. mini-crime spree on November 23.
Officials allege that Mancher followed a man as he exited the 7-Eleven on Knapp Street near Voorhies Avenue and snatched the money in his hands.
He ran off, only to jump into the senior citizen’s car, which was idling nearby, police alleged.
The senior told police that Mancher punched him in the face and ordered him to drive off, officials said. When the senior wouldn’t budge, the suspect allegedly jumped out of the car and fled on foot.
Cops from the 61st Precinct apprehended him a short time later, charging him with grand larceny and assault.
Hospitalized
A 62-year-old woman was in critical condition last week after being hit by a tow truck in Sheepshead Bay.
Police said that the unidentified woman was crossing Avenue X at Ocean Avenue at 7:20 p.m. on November 17 when the 2001 Ford truck hit her.
She was rushed to Lutheran Medical Center, where doctors listed her in critical condition.
Investigators said that the driver remained at the scene. No criminality was suspected, they said.
Snapple steal
Two men were arrested on 86th Street in Gravesend last week on charges that they allegedly raided a Snapple delivery truck and then groped a female officer that had taken them into custody.
Police alleged that Henry Bonanno and Angel Luperena, both 45, were seen throwing open the bay door of the Snapple delivery truck while it was parked near West 8th Street at 12:30 p.m. on November 19.
The suspects then took two boxes of Snapple juice drinks from the truck and walked off, alleged police.
The deliveryman reported the theft. Ten minutes later, a cop from the 60th Precinct spotted Bonanno and Luperena and took them into custody.
Police allege that Bonanno grabbed the female officer’s privates through her clothes as she took the suspects into custody.
Both were charged with burglary, petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property. Bonanno was also charged with forcible touching, officials said.
Piping mad
A 44-year-old Brighton Beach man was struck in the head with a metal pipe during a road rage incident in Sheepshead Bay last week, officials said.
Police from the 61st Precinct said that the victim got into a motor vehicle accident with another motorist at the corner of Avenue Z and East 13th Street at 4:30 p.m. on November 21.
When the two argued over who was responsible, the other motorist, described as a 35-year-old white male, grabbed a pipe and cracked it over his head, officials said.
The victim was rushed to Coney Island Hospital, where he was treated and released.
The motorist who attacked him sped off and was still at large as this paper went to press.
