Free-wheeling stabbing
A 29-year-old bicyclist was stabbed with a kitchen knife as three thieves jumped him at the corner of New Utrecht Avenue and 62nd Street last week, officials said.
The victim said that he was approaching the corner on the night of June 11 when the three thieves jumped him.
One of the thieves stabbed him as the other grabbed the bike and rode off with it, the victim told police.
The victim’s injuries weren’t serious, officials were told.
Cut during robbery
A 49-year-old man had his ear sliced open during a robbery on New Utrecht Avenue near 71st Street, area cops said this week.
Investigators said that they were searching for a 20-year-old man in connection with the robbery, which took place at 7 p.m. on June 14.
The victim said that he was walking along New Utrecht Avenue when the younger man confronted him.
Police were told that the thug punched the victim in the face and cut his ear with a sharp object as he took $140 in cash and his wallet.

Handball hooligans
Three thieves are being sought for mugging an avid handball player as he practiced his skills at the courts on Cropsey Avenue and Shore Parkway.
The 18-year-old victim said that he was punched in the face and kicked as the three thugs robbed him of $6 in cash, his cell phone and some electronics.
He suffered a cut to his face and some bruises but was otherwise unharmed, cops were told.
Brighton freak-out
A 26-year-old tussled with police last week after he was found flashing beach-goers on the Brighton Beach boardwalk, police alleged.
Christopher Deetjen was reportedly charged with public lewdness and resisting arrest following his brief freak-out near the corner of Brighton Beach Avenue and Brighton 6th Street at 6:40 p.m. on June 9.
Several witnesses told police that they were enjoying their evening on the boardwalk when Deetjen allegedly flashed them, showing them everything he had.
Cops responding to the scene arrested Deetjen, but only after a brief struggle, police alleged. The 26-year-old refused to be handcuffed, officials alleged.
Caught in the act
Two brothers were arrested for burglarizing a Bensonhurst address last week after they were seen running down the driveway holding garbage bags filled with the victim’s loot, police alleged.
Police said that Marvin Fagot, 18 and Kevin Fagot, 16, were both charged with burglary in connection with the theft on the night of June 15.
Cops were told that the homeowner was returning from a late dinner when he spotted three males trotting down the driveway near 64th Street and Bay Parkway. Each was carrying a black garbage bag, officials said.
When he confronted the trio, they scattered, police said. Two of them were apprehended by police after a brief search.
Both were allegedly caught holding a garbage bag with the victim’s property and were charged with burglary, police said.
The third thief was still at large as this paper went to press.
Robbing with Raid
Cops are looking for the thief who sprayed roach spray into a young woman’s face during an attempted purse-snatching on Brown Street.
Police said that the victim, 20, had just finished parking her car near Avenue X just before 3 a.m. on June 4 when a masked man attacked her – squirting the noxious chemical right in her face.
Despite being temporarily blinded, the woman fought back, forcing the thief to run off empty-handed.
Scooter smack
A 33-year-old man was attacked with a scooter as he played basketball in Seth Low Park, officials said last week.
Officials said that the victim was shooting hoops near the corner of Bay Ridge Parkway and Bay Parkway at 7:15 p.m. on June 8 when he got into a spat with another player.
That’s when his opponent picked up a scooter from the ground and swung it, hitting him square in the face.
The victim suffered a cut to his face, but was otherwise uninjured.
The scooter swinger was still at large as this paper went to press.
Yeshiva burglarized
Hundreds of dollars in computer equipment was taken from an area yeshiva currently under construction, cops were told this week.
Workers at Bais Sara Congregation Machne Chaim, 6101 16th Avenue, told police that someone entered the school sometime after 2 a.m. on June 8, removing several laptop computers and plasma monitors.
Cops were told that the school has been operating for two years even though work is still being done to the building.
Because of that, the building has been left unsecured – something that school officials plan to rectify.

Killed in Coney
One man was killed and another was seriously wounded when gunshots echoed across Coney Island Saturday.
Cops from the 61st Precinct said that they were called to West 28th Street near Mermaid Avenue at 1:40 a.m. on June 7 where they found Akeem Blyden, a 22-year-old resident of West 27th Street, sprawled out on the ground.
Blyden had been shot in the head and torso and died at the scene, officials said. A handgun was found stowed in a backpack he was reportedly carrying.
As the investigation progressed, cops were called to Coney Island Hospital, where they found a second gunshot victim.
The male victim, 33, said that he had witnessed an unidentified man rob and shoot Blyden in the street.
When the gunman realized that the 33-year-old had witnessed the shooting, he turned and opened fire, hitting him four times.
The second victim had his girlfriend take him to Coney Island Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition after treatment, officials said.

Hooligan search
Four thieves are being sought for beating and robbing a 52-year-old man.
The victim told police that he had just exited a local Dunkin’ Donuts and was nearing the corner of Fourth Avenue and 94th Street just after 4 a.m. on June 10 when the quartet of Hispanic males in their 20s attacked him.
The thieves punched the victim and ran off with the two bags of clothing he was carrying, leaving him with a cut and some swelling to his right eye.
Police are asking anyone with information regarding the robbery to come forward.

Sneaking inside
A thief crept into a home on Fifth Avenue near 71st Street last week, taking an assortment of gold jewelry, police were told.
The 33-year-old tenant told police that he had left his home at 9 p.m. on June 9. He returned to his apartment about two hours later to discover that someone had forced open a rear window.
The jewelry, as well as his ID card and Social Security card, were missing, officials said.
Door forced
About $6,000 in cash and $4,000 worth of watches and necklaces disappeared from a home on 91st Street near Third Avenue, cops were told.
Police believe that the thief forced in a rear door to get into the home sometime between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. on June 11.
Along with the cash and jewelry, thieves stole a digital camera, and the victim’s green card and Social Security card, officials said.
Home raid
Thieves took thousands of dollars in jewelry and left a Bay Ridge homeowner with a complete mess during a recent burglary, officials said.
Police said that someone broke into the home, located on 96th Street near Third Avenue sometime between 7:50 a.m. and 3 p.m. on June 11.
The victim, 27, said that when she returned home, she found the kitchen and the bedroom in disarray.
About $4,200 in jewelry, which included a Movado watch, were missing, officials said.
Investigators said it was unclear just how the thief got into the home.
Car smash
A thief looted a 2006 jeep parked on 86th Street near Ridge Boulevard last week, officials said.
The owner of the jeep told police that he parked his vehicle on the black at 8 p.m. on June 6. He returned at 11 a.m. on June 9 to find that someone had bashed in the rear passenger window.
A navigation system, a six disc CD charger were missing, along with the vehicle’s side mirror.
Robbed by Con Ed
Three thieves posing as Con Ed employees mugged a 14-year-old girl of $15 during an odd-ball confrontation on 86th Street near Third Avenue.
The girl told police that she was standing outside of a building on 86th Street at 7:45 p.m. on June 12 when two men and a woman came up to her.
The suspects identified themselves as Con Edison workers and started to ask about the building’s utilities – as if the teen would know.
The thieves then grabbed the girl, removed the money from her pockets and walked to Third Avenue.
Cops were still looking for the thieves as this paper went to press.
Phone grab
Over $2,700 in cell phones was removed from a display at a local T-Mobile cell phone store, cops from the 68th Precinct said.
Workers said that two males entered the store, located at 440 86th Street, at 6:30 p.m. on June 5 and snipped a security cord securing all of the phones to the display case.
The thieves scooped up the eight phones, which included four Blackberrys, a Razr and a Shadow and ran off.
Cops were still looking for the thieves as this paper went to press.
Fiendish fashionista
Cops are looking for a sticky-fingered thief who hit the mother lode at an area New York & Company – 107 shirts valued at over $3,500, officials said.
Police said that the unidentified thief entered the store at 515 86th Street at 2:15 p.m. on June 4 and somehow made off with seven stacks of button-down shirts without anyone raising an eyebrow.
Police from the 68th Precinct said that the thief was still at large as this paper went to press.
