Police: Brute batters man with hammer in Boerum Hill

Cops are searching for a hammer-wielding fiend and his wanton accomplice wanted for pulverizing a guy with the tool in Boerum Hill on Dec. 20.

The 64-year-old victim told police he was near Dean Street and Fourth Avenue at 3:45 pm when the man grabbed him in a chokehold and demanded cash, before smashing him over the head with the hammer in a blow that knocked the guy to the ground.

The brute then grabbed the victim’s cellphone and fled with a female accomplice, authorities said.

Emergency responders rushed the victim to New York Methodist Hospital, where doctors treated him for a broken jaw, according to a report.
