Honey, I’m home

A 25-year-old man was arrested for burglarizing a man’s Kings Highway apartment on Aug. 29, and then beating up the owner when he came home mid-burglary.

The victim told police that he returned to his home between E. 34th and E. 35th streets at 3:55 pm and realized that his laptop was missing from his bedroom. He started searching the apartment for other property that might have been missing, when he found the suspect hiding behind a door in another bedroom.

The suspect then allegedly bashed the victim in the head with a wooden box and a struggle ensued, ending when the suspect fled from the victim’s apartment. Later on, the victim discovered he was missing an iPad, a cellphone, a headset, a watch, two cameras, and various jewelry, cops said.

Police arrested a 17-year-old boy who they say beat up a man and slashed him with a set of keys on E. 63rd Street on Aug. 28.

The victim told police that he was near Avenue N at 9 pm when the suspect attacked him, throwing punches and slashing him with the keys.
