Police arrested a 45-year-old Staten Island man accused of repeatedly raping a 11-year-old Brownsville girl.
The suspect was cuffed Sunday — a day after the most recent assault on Saturday at victim’s Brownsville home — on three counts of felony rape, three counts of sexual abuse, and three counts of harming the safety of a child, according to police.
Prosecutors allege that the Staten Island man raped the girl on two prior occasions since Dec. 28, according to the criminal complaint.
Police became aware of the crimes after the victim’s mother, who knew the defendant, caught him naked in the child’s bedroom, according to prosecutors.
Emergency personnel rushed the victim, who was in stable condition, to Brookdale Hospital in Brownsville.
Kings County Judge Adam Perlmutter set the defendant’s bail as $250,000 which has not been posted and issued a temporary protection order against the accused.
His next court appearance is slated for Feb. 21.
