One still on the run
Police arrested one of two men who they say threatened a man and his 3-year-old son with an axe on 60th Street on July 10.
The suspects approached the man between Third and Fourth avenues between 1 and 1:30 am, and swung the blade axe at him, then held his little boy up in the air to scare him, according to the police report. The second man is still on the run, according to authorities.
Damaged wheels
A baddie caused about $800 worth of damage to a white 2018 BMW Sedan parked on Eighth Avenue by trying to break its front passenger-side window on July 9.
The crook caused the damage to the car between 56th and 57th streets at some point between 3:30 and 4 pm, according to the report.
Phone a friend
A sneak stole a pair of iPhones from a Fifth Avenue store on July 12.
The theft occurred at the store between 51st and 52nd streets around 3:45 pm, and the perp fled on foot on Fifth Avenue in an unknown direction, police said.
Sharp-nailed sneak
A crook broke into a 55th Street nail salon at some point between July 12 and 13 and stole $80, an iPhone, and thousands worth of facial cream, police said.
The perp entered through an unlocked window of the shop between Seventh and Eighth avenues at some point between 10:30 pm on July 12, when the owner left, and 10:30 am the following day, when the owner returned, the report states.
Park attack
Police arrested one of two men who allegedly ambushed a man as he was leaving Prospect Park on July 14, punching him in the head multiple times and stealing his metal chain, cops said.
The theft occurred between 10th and 11th avenues between 9:45 pm and 10:30 pm, police reported.
Baddie broke a window
A no-goodnik caused more than $250 worth of damage when he or she broke the back window of a 2014 Toyota Sienna parked on 54th Street on July 15.
The victim left the car parked between Sixth and Seventh avenues at 2 pm, and returned at 11 pm to find the window shattered, cops said.
Slashed for cash
A lout slashed a man with a switchblade for trying to buy marijuana and stole $100 from him on Sixth Avenue on July 15.
The assault occurred at 55th Street around 2:30 am, and left the man with a gash on his right hand requiring 12 stitches, which was treated at Lutheran Medical Center, according to authorities.
